English Language School Moves Online

“There is a limit to how inventive you can be for your business. But in unusual times, people will come up with their own ideas which will inspire you to think outside the box. This is when you will need to let your customers guide you.”

Rebecca Bonnici, owner and CEO of BELS English Language Schools is one of the leading operators in the English language teaching industry, a sector that like many others, is currently at a standstill.

In a Facebook post, Rebecca announced that “following the success of the school’s online individual courses, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our online programmes. In addition to individual courses, it is now possible to join our international group courses online.”

“In the face of an unprecedented situation like the one we are all experiencing, a situation upon which no one has much control, we as businesses and organisations will achieve very little if we wait and do nothing. We sat down, we looked at those areas where we can excel and we started thinking outside the box,” she said.

“Our English language learners were of course disappointed that they could not travel to Malta to follow their courses. But their interest and concern got us thinking.”

She has now decided to take her English language teaching operation online as a reaction to the sudden stop in incoming students.

Individual courses are highly personalised in nature with regards to lesson time and content. Amongst the most sought-after individual courses one finds business English courses both generic or specialised, general English and fluency courses, social conversation on topics of the learner’s choice, exam preparation courses and English for specific purposes.
