Richard Gere has a nickname for Italy’s far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini: “Baby Trump.”
The American actor told Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera on Monday that U.S. President Donald Trump and Salvini shared “the same mentality.”
“In fact, I call Salvini ‘Baby Trump.’ He uses the same radical ignorance, he exploits fear and hatred.”
Richard Gere said that the issue needs to be addressed by finding common ground and not through intransigence. We need to remember that every ‘person’ is an individual, has a name, has an identity and merits dignity.
