German public prosecutors raid German Mitsubishi offices

The logo of Japanese car maker Mitsubishi is pictured outside its German importer’s headquarters in Friedberg, Germany, 22 January 2020.

According to reports, German public prosecutors have raided various offices of Mitsubishi and international suppliers in Germany a day earlier as part of investigations to Mitsubishi’s 1,6 litre and 2,2 litre diesel engines that may have been equipped with an illegal ‘defeat device’ that regulates diesel emissions.
