Gozo developer bags two controversial approvals in a week: The Headlines – The Times

The Times reports that development magnate Joseph Portelli received the approval of the Planning Commission for a project in Sannat that was recommended for refusal by state and other non-governmental entities.

Another story quotes a report on Malta’s in the Sustainable Governance Indicators 2019. The document says that the political system in Malta leads to ‘clientelism and patronage’ and that a winner-takes-all mentality fuels division.
