Gunmen attack hotel in Pakistan

At least three gunmen attack a five-star hotel in Gwadar in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, officials say.

Local media said all guests had been evacuated and security forces were at the scene.

At least three attackers entered the Pearl Continental Hotel after a series of blasts the reports said.

The English-language Balochistan Post at least 10 explosions were heard near the hotel.

Balochistan is home to an insurgency by militants seeking independence from Pakistan or opposed to Chinese projects in the mineral rich area under Beijing’s Belt and Road infrastructure initiative.
