Health officials in Benghazi deny rumours of coronavirus cases in Libya

Nasser Al-Mansouri, the Director of the International Health Oversight Office at Benina Airport in Libya, has denied allegations in a  flood of posts on social platforms, regarding the detection of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Benghazi, stressing that medical teams are doing their job at all access points in the city.

Libya’s social media was awash with rumours over the weekend, about detecting two confirmed cases of coronavirus from one family in the eastern region, and referring that one of them had already died, accusing the authorities in Benghazi of lack of transparency on the situation.
