Italy’s coalition reaches agreement on Budget – Government reaffirms willingness to stay in Europe and with the Euro

italy 3.pngItaly’s coalition has reached an agreement about its budget, after tension had risen between the Cinque Stelle’s Di Maio and Lega’s Salvini.

It took a Saturday cabinet meeting so that Lega and M5s reach an agreement which foresees the removal of the so-called “criminal shield” and provides answers to the question of capital and assets of Italians abroad, in the sense that any amnesty will not cover those who have exported their funds to other countries to be able to avoid paying tax in Italy, and also to those who had issues of Money-Laundering.

Giuseppe Conte’s government also toned down the issue of Italy’s European and Euro’s membership stating that Italy has no intentions of leaving the bloc and the Eu currency.
