Italy’s women doctors outnumber male medics for first time

Italy’s women doctors outnumbered their male colleagues for the first time last year, physicians’ pension agency Enpam said in a report this week.

It said there were 180,916 women doctors here in 2023, meaning they made up 50.1% of the total, while the number of male medics was 180,502.
