Parts of Disneyland Paris were evacuated or put in lockdown this evening after a malfunctioning escalator sparked panic among guests.
Witnesses reported panicked evacuations of shops and restaurants, with some reporting a loud bang or bangs. Some buildings were evacuated while others put on lockdown. Video footage shared on Twitter shows panicked guests running.
Tourists were seen running and screaming in the dark, as video footage of the incident which began just before 9pm local time emerged.
