The Independent reports that Covid-19 cases in Malta rose to 48 by Wednesday and the disease has now infected two elderly persons for the first time. Public Health Superintendent Charmaine Gauci said Malta requested to participate in European clinical trials.
A second report follows the case of the man found dead in a Santa Luċija apartment on Tuesday. A police spokesperson said that investigators believe that the 62-year-old victim was hit on the head with a sharp object before being wrapped in garbage bags.
