Muscat wants full publication of evidence against him

Former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, who is facing criminal charges for alleged money laundering related to the privatisation scandal of three state hospitals, has requested that the parts of the magisterial inquiry leading to his charges be made public and accessible to everyone. Muscat’s lawyers stated that, following a court decree to provide the magisterial inquiry report to 23 defendants, there is a risk of selective publication of the report, which could create an imbalance against him. They claimed there is evidence that the inquiry report is already in the hands of third parties, including Repubblika, the instigators of the criminal complaint. (Maltatoday)
