Malta: Pandemic claims seventh life

L-Orizzont reports the death of a 97-year-old man, the seventh coronavirus victim in Malta. Public Health Superintendent Charmaine Gauci said that one new case was registered on Wednesday and a further six patients recovered.

Another story speaks to Gozo Tourism Authority CEO Joe Muscat who said that the tourism industry in the island is starting to pick up signals of movement since the return of travel across the channel at the beginning of this month.

The paper says that hair salons are satisfied with the pace of business and many customers have placed bookings after two months of shut-down. The hairdressers the paper spoke to said that safety protocols are being observed.
