Malta: Reduction in active Covid-19 cases

L-Orizzont reports that the number of active Covid-19 cases continued to decrease on Monday after eight patients were confirmed recovered and four new people tested positive. There are currently 302 active cases.

The paper speaks to father Mario Attard who is currently staying at the Sir Anthony Mamo oncology centre to encourage patients. He says that the situation at the hospital is calm but there is also great suffering.

Another story says that the General Workers Union is ‘defending’ the 45-member crew aboard an AFM patrol boat who are facing investigation after a criminal complaint was submitted by NGO Repubblika over the death of migrants in Maltese waters.
