Malta’s University signs cooperation agreement with European Court of Auditors

Following several exchanges held last November, the University of Malta recently signed a cooperation agreement with the European Court of Auditors (ECA) in order to strengthen its ties with the entity at European level.

Going forward, ECA will be invited to participate in on-campus activities, it will offer a yearly graduate internship for UM students, and have ECA experts give presentations to UM students and staff on different topics related to ECA’s work, among other things.“We hope this proposal can be the starting point for a fruitful cooperation between our two institutions”, said UM Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella at the signing, for which Malta’s nominee to ECA, Leo Brincat, Pro-Rector for Student & Staff Affairs and Outreach, Prof. Carmen Sammut, and Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management & Accountancy (FEMA), Prof. Frank Bezzina, were also present.
