Maltese Anti-Terrorism Squad arrests Syrian charged for human trafficking

Members of the Police Force’s Anti-Terrorism Squad have arrested a 48-year old person of Syrian nationality, following a European Arrest Mandate issued by Hungary.

The Syrian has been arrested on charges of human trafficking as well as the facilitation of illegal entry and residence.

In a statement, the Police said that the person will be summoned to Court at 13hrs today. Dr Nadine Lia will be presiding.
