A 55-year-old man from Rabat, Gozo has been arrested by Drugs Squad Police in Gozo in connection with trafficking and possession of drugs.
The man was found in possession of a number of sachets, suspected to be heroin. The amount of sachets found shows that it was not for his personal use.From a search carried out in his home, the Police found another sachet of the same drug, an amount of cash and a scale.
Police investigations are still ongoing whilst a Magisterial inquiry has been appointed into the case.
The man is expected to be arraigned in court later today.
