Moody’s upgrades Malta’s credit rating to ‘A2 stable’

International agency Moody’s has upgraded Malta’s credit rating to A2 stable, the government said in a statement.

It had been 11 years since this agency had upgraded Malta’s rating. In 2011 and 2012 Malta’s rating had been reduced regularly and was kept at A3 for seven successive years.

Moody’s upgrade means that, since the change of government in 2013, the four main international credit agencies all gave a better score to Malta in their assessment.
