More Japanese companies expected to relocate away from Britain

More Japanese companies are expected to leave Britain in the coming months if the uncertainty around Brexit persists.

In an exclusive interview with Sky News, Koji Tsuruoka,  Japan’s  ambassador to Britain, said that many of Japan’s 1,000 or so UK-based companies were now considering how to adapt to life after Brexit, but added that they needed to know how Britain will trade with the European Union in the future in order to make decisions

Tsuruoka pointed out that these are all global companies and therefore they have other possibilities other than staying.

In the past weeks both Nissan and Honda announced that they would be cutting back production in the UK, in Honda’s case shutting down its Swindon factory altogether.
