More than 4 million people have fled Ukraine, says UNHCR

OSLO, March 30 (Reuters) – The UN’s refugee agency, UNHCR, has said that 4.02 million people have now left Ukraine since the Russian invasion began on 24 February.

With a pre-invasion population of around 44 million, that equates to roughly one in every eleven Ukrainian people having crossed the border in the space of around five weeks.
