Three people have been killed and at least 15 injured in a shooting at a food festival in California. The shooter was also killed.
The Gilroy Garlic Festival was about to finish for the weekend on Sunday evening, when shots were fired at the site.
Witnesses reported that there was “a white man in his early to mid-30s firing a rifle”.
Police said the gunman gained access to the festival by cutting through a fence. They added that some witnesses reported a second suspect.
Later, Police in Northern California said they were searching for a suspected accomplice of the gunman who killed three people in a mass shooting at a food festival.
A second suspect “was involved in some way, we just don’t know in what way,” Gilroy Police Chief Scot Smithee said late on Sunday, without giving further details.
“We have no idea of a motive,” he said.

Police have said the scene is “still active”. US President Donald Trump tweeted about the shooting, urging people to “be careful and safe”.
The San Francisco Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was responding to the scene, officials said.
