Netflix Hollywood site evacuated and under lockdown after reports of man carrying deadly weapon is held for questioning

Reports of a person carrying a ‘deadly weapon’ on Netflix’s Hollywood site have prompted an evacuation and lockdown of the facility.

Local television station KTLA reports sources at the building saying they had been evacuated, but are yet to be told why.

A Los Angeles Police Department official said officers had responding to ‘second hand’ information that an armed person was on the site.

One person is undergoing questioning and is in custody.

Netflix staff, and those of adjacent buildings, have now been given the all clear to return.

Unconfirmed social media posts coming from the Netflix office cite speculation that there was fears of an active shooter. There are also unconfirmed reports that the police suspect may be an employee, or former employee, who had issued threatenting messages.

Heavily armed LAPD officers were seen moving through the facility, room to room, in an effort to ensure the building was safe
