No deaths in Spain from Covid-19 for first time in three months

Spain‘s Health Ministry reported no new deaths from the new coronavirus on Monday, with the total death toll unchanged from Sunday at 27,127, the health ministry said.
It said the total number of COVID-19 infections increased by 71 from Sunday to 239,638.
It was the first time in three months that no deaths were reported.
However, Spanish health workers on the front line of the fight against coronavirus continued to protest yesterday, calling for a reinforced healthcare system.
The health care workers in their uniforms gathered in front of hospitals in capital Madrid under the slogan “health workers essential”.
They want the government to improve working conditions and strengthen public hospitals.
The nurses, doctors, and workers called for the nation saying “Now it’s time to fight together for the sake of our community.”
The healthcare professionals, who staged a protest for the second time since the start of coronavirus outbreak said their problems are not new, stressing that the number of personnel should be increased and the contracts should be renewed, especially in these days.
They stood silently for two minutes holding placards and homemade signs, adhering to social distancing rules.
Spain has recorded no daily deaths and the lowest number of infections since early March on Monday, reporting only 71 new COVID-19 cases from Sunday.
