Nutella biscuits to hit Italian shelves in the coming days, after their piloting in Malta and launch in France

55 years from the birth of Nutella, Ferrero will be officially launching its first biscuits filled with the famous hazelnut cream in Italy this week.

Nutella Biscuits are produced in the Balvano plant, in the province of Potenza, where Ferrero has invested over 120 million euros for an ad hoc production line.

The new biscuits were tested in Malta and were launched in April in France and Ferrero’s goal is to market them throughout the European market.

In Italy the public will be able to taste them before October 31 at Casa Nutella, set up in Piazza Gae Aulenti in Milan, and then express their liking.

Tasting reactions will be detected with tablets and will help feed a ‘counter’ that has the shape of a heart stamped on Nutella Biscuits. The counter will also be powered by social interactions, through visits to the Nutella site and Google searches on the new product.

In this way everyone can become, was explained during the event in Milan, ambassador of Nutella Biscuits and support their arrival in Italy.

On November 4 and 5, more than a thousand employees of the Ferrero group will be in over 4 thousand points of sale throughout Italy to present and let consumers experience the ‘novelty’.
