A man was killed and another two were injured in Triq tal-Ġebel, Birżebbuġa L/O Hal Far , on Saturday night.
The police said the incident took place at around 11pm. It was reported to them by one of the injured men.
The police went on site after they were notified that shots had been fired in the area.
On their arrival, the officers noted a man, whose identity is still to be established but who appears to be a foreigner, lying on the ground with injuries.
An ambulance was called to take him to hospital.
On further investigation, the officers found another man who was injured, and another ambulance was called. This man is aged 45, and is from Georgia.
As the officers were talking to individuals to find out what happened, a third man was noticed lying on the ground. The man was found in a pool of blood, and was dead.
Police are searching for a white Toyota Starlet, from where allegedly the shots were fired
