Paedophile identified as new suspect in Madeline McCann’s disappearance

Information about a foreign paedophile from Scotland Yard has reportedly prompted police in in Portugal to expand the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

The Independent reports that “officials have reportedly identified a man who was in Portugal in May 2007 when the toddler disappeared from her hotel room in the Praia da Luz resort on the Algarve.”

Quoting Portuguese newspaper Expresso, the report says that the suspect had previously come under Portuguese police scrutiny, but the authorities are now pursuing “active lines of investigation” after fresh information from the UK”.

Earlier this week Sky reported “Police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have asked for further funding to pursue “active lines of inquiries”.

According to the Sun “A man who speaks English and wears a surgical mask is understood to be the kidnapper Portuguese police now fear may have snatched Madeleine McCann.”

Australian News.com reports “Detectives have discovered a creep carried out nearly 30 attacks within a 40-mile radius of the holiday apartment in Praia da Luz where Maddie vanished from 12 years ago today.

He crept into Algarve properties rented by families and many victims were British.

And a judicial source is reported to have confirmed the unnamed man was definitely in Portugal at the time the three-year-old suddenly disappeared.”

Meanwhile CmTv channel on Friday night also broadcast claims that police were investigating a new suspect and had increased the number of detectives involved in the case.

It also claimed there was more than one suspect.
