Moments from the laser light show at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, as the French capital marks its 130th anniversary.

The 12-minute laser light show recounting the history of the tower will play across the facade from 10pm to midnight local time through Friday to mark 130 years since the tower opened to the public after being built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World’s Fair.

The Eiffel Tower, nicknamed ‘The Iron Lady’ was the tallest building in the world until 1929, when it lost the title to the Chrysler Building in New York City.

Around 6 million people go up the tower every year.
