Polish wages rise 12.1% y/y in April, in line with forecast

May 22 (Reuters) – Polish corporate sector wages rose by an annual 12.1% in April to an average of 7,431 zlotys ($1,793.97) per month, in line with analysts’ expectations of 12.1%, statistics office data showed on Monday.

In monthly terms, wages fell by 1.0%.

Corporate employment rose by 0.4% year-on-year to 6.524 million people in April. Analysts had expected a year-on-year rise of 0.2%.

In monthly terms, corporate employment rose by 0.1%.
