This is how Pope Francis remembered today Maltese Cardinal Prosper Grech, O.S.A., of the Diakonia of Saint Maria Goretti, Docent Emeritus of several Roman Universities and Consultor of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, who passed away Monday afternoon in Rome.
Francis, in a condolences telegram expressed “the long and competent service carried out by him as docent in several Roman Universities, as well as that given to the Holy See.”
“I send you, the brethren and all those that mourn his death my heartfelt Apostolic Blessing,” the Holy Father said.
The funeral will take place at the Altar of the Chair of the Vatican Basilica on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 11:30 am.
