Putin’s spy chief says U.S. trying to meddle in Russian election

MOSCOW, March 11 (Reuters) – President Vladimir Putin’s foreign intelligence chief said on Monday that the United States was trying to meddle in Russia’s presidential election and that Washington even had plans to launch a cyber attack on the remote voting system.

The remarks by Sergei Naryshkin, the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), were reported by state media.
