Malta Today says that developer Joseph Portelli announced he will not go ahead with the construction of a planned villa in Qala, days after it was approved by the Planning Commission. Portelli felt the application has been singled out ‘for some odd reason’.
The paper reports on a decision by the court of appeals throwing out an attempt by the Financial Services watchdog to stop Satabank from transferring €30 million to an offshore company owned by ‘Dirty Oil’ suspect Gordon Debono.
