Spain’s coronavirus death toll climbs by lowest rate in nearly seven weeks

Spain’s death toll from the new coronavirus rose by 164 to 25,264 on Sunday, according to data from the Health Ministry, marking the lowest one-day increase since March 18.

Confirmed cases of the virus rose to 217,466 on Sunday, from 216,582 on Saturday, the ministry said.

On Saturday, Spain started easing more lockdown measures with adults across Spain are allowed to exercise between 6am and 10am and then 8pm till 11pm, while the children’s slot is midday till 7pm. The streets are reserved for older people and those who need assistance from 10am till midday and then 7pm till 8pm.
