Suspected coronavirus cases in Israel

A man, a four-year-old child and a one-year-old baby were quarantined in Hadera’s Hillel Yaffe hospital in Israel due to suspicions of having contracted the coronavirus, multiple reports stated.

The Health Ministry is in contact with the hospital in order to oversee the case.

Meanwhile, the first Middle Eastern case was reported in the UAE. In a statement today, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection has confirmed four cases of coronavirus in the UAE. The virus originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan and has so far claimed 132 lives and infected near 6,000 people across the globe.

Gulf airports, including Dubai which is home to one of the world’s biggest aviation hubs, said last week they would screen all passengers arriving from China amid the outbreak of the deadly virus.

Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre said on Wednesday it would update concerned residents about the latest news on coronavirus cases in the country via messages on WhatsApp. The number is 0562312171.
