The parents of Yulen, the little boy who fell in a well in Spain on Sunday, suffered the ordeal of another family tragedy less than two years ago.
According to the residents of the neighborhood of El Palo, where they live, in the spring of 2017 their other son, Óliver, died when he was only three years old.
It transpires that this happened while he was walking along the paleé beach with his parents and he died.
José and Victoria, Yulen’s parents, are well known in the neighborhood. For a few years they have lived in the Virgina Beach area, in the area east of Málaga and at the foot of the mountain where Totalán is located. The neighbors emphasized that that tragedy marked a before and after in the life of the couple.
The boy’s family had gone to the mountain on Sunday to prepare a paella on the farm of a relative. While José made the rice, the boy rushed through the perforation without any of those present could do anything to prevent it, according to his relatives. Another child who played with Yulen, a cousin of a year and a half, did not suffer any harm.
The parents of the small and good part of the family spent Monday all day next to the rescue operation. There they have received the support of the Group of Psychological Intervention in Emergencies and Disasters (Giped) of the School of Psychologists of Andalusia and also they have moved to the place technicians of the center coordinator of Emergencies 112 in Malaga.
Both the spokesman of the Civil Guard and from the sub-delegation of the Government has maintained absolute silence about the situation of the family.
On the other hand the search for Yulen continues without rest. The Civil Guard shuffles three ways to rescue the two-year-old boy who fell at noon on Sunday in the well that has dimensions between 20 and 25 centimeters wide and something more than 100 meters deep: build another parallel well, excavate the Open hillside and use heavy machinery to remove soil from the cavity where the child is looking.
