The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases reaches four million globally

According to the John Hopkins University, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached four million globally.

Total recorded deaths are more than 279,300.

The US has been the worst-affected country in terms of death toll (more than 78,00) followed by the UK (more than 31,600) and Italy (30,300).

Similarly, the Reuters count states that more than 4.02 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 276,894 have died, according to a Reuters tally. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
