Tragedy struck Naples on Monday morning as a 35-year-old man threw his 16-months old daughter to her death from a second-floor balcony and then jumped himself, seriously injuring himself.
The tragic incident happened in the area of San Gennaro Vesuviano in Naples.
The reasons behind his actions are so far unknown but Italian media reports are stating that the man and his wife were in the process of a separation.
The man is now recovered in a serious condition in the Cardarelli Hospital in Naples.
