A number of photos, circulating on social media, show medics with sore marks on their skin from wearing face masks to protect against the new disease strain.
Local media said that medical staff members based in Wuhan in the eastern Chinese province of Hubei are currently on their feet nonstop. Many workers are said to be so exhausted that they often finish the day sleeping on hospital chairs and floors before starting another shift.
One might not know the name or surname, and for many they’re just faces, but their faces reminds us of the hard work the medics have to go, whenever faced with such crisis.
News.com.au says “China is paying tribute to the incredible, tireless heroes fighting coronavirus on the frontline in Wuhan by sharing these stark images on social media. “These exhausted nurses have been left with sore marks on their skin from wearing tight face masks and goggles for 12 hours straight to protect themselves from the deadly virus. Many hospital workers are understood to be so exhausted they have been spotted sleeping on the floors of hospitals in full protective gear until their next shift. Here’s to these everyday heroes, fighting to keep China and the rest of the world safe from the deadly disease”.
The medical staff are amongst the heroes of Wuhan and China who are battling the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.
On Thursday the Chinese doctor who tried to warn other medics about the coronavirus has died after contracting the infection in Wuhan.
According to local media, ophthalmologist Dr Li Wenliang died from the virus on Thursday in Wuhan.
Chinese doctor Li Wenliang is one of the eight whistleblower. They tried to warn other medics of the coronavirus outbreak but were reprimanded by local police.
