Weather conditions postpones arrival of 937 people on board the “Diciotti” Coast Guard in Catania (Italy), after being saved in the Mediterranean

TgCom: Fifty-three migrants have landed on a beach in Noto, in the province of Syracuse (Sicily). Over 900 are scheduled for the evening of Wednesday June 13 in Catania. According to the reports, 937 people are carried by the “Diciotti” Coast Guard ship .

They would have had to dock at the port of Catania on Tuesday evening, but the weather conditions did not allow it.

The cruising speed has indeed been reduced and the landing is expected for Wednesday.

The migrants were saved during seven different interventions by units of Eunavformed, the European mission to combat illegal trafficking in human beings. It seems that below decks there are also two corpses.
