Which Passports Open the Most Doors: Singapore Reigns

The latest Henley Passport Index, updated quarterly, reveals which passports offer the broadest global access without a visa.

Singapore has reclaimed the top spot, granting its citizens visa-free entry to 192 countries. It edges out Japan and South Korea, both with access to 188 nations.

Five European nations—Luxembourg, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, and Sweden—share third place, each allowing visa-free travel to 186 countries.

The United Kingdom has seen a modest rise, moving from eighth to seventh place, while the United States, once the global leader in 2014, has returned to the top 10 after dropping out in October’s rankings and now holds sole possession of the tenth spot.

This ranking underscores how significantly a passport can shape international mobility in today’s world.
