A woman was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Triq l-Imġarr Ghajnsielem, Gozo at 1am.
Newsbook reports that the victim, who is a foreign national, has not been identified yet, was a passenger in a vehicle that was being driven by a 43-year-old Norwegian man residing in Ta’ Kerċem.
The woman was brought to Mater Dei Hospital using the hospital helicopter. A third male passenger was also in the car.
The report adds that the second vehicle which was involved in the collision was driven by a 36-year-old woman from Nadur. In the car there were also a 45-year-old woman from Canada and three boys aged 9, 11 and 14.
All those involved in the accident were taken to Gozo General Hospital.
Magistrate Brigitte Sultana was appointed to the inquiry.
