Champions League anthem takes centre stage during wedding (VIDEO)

Sport Bible reports about a very particular wedding ceremony which took place when in 2012 Catalan couple Marcos and Neus are getting married.

It’s a joyous day for everyone involved, but things peaked in the ceremony when bride Neus decided to pull out the ultimate trump card.

Watch the moment:

In a moment of sheer joy, she decided to hire the Renaissance Choir of Sant Boi de Llobregat to perform the iconic Champions League anthem and well, the rest is history.

The anthem is written by English composer Tony Britten in 1992, and based on George Frideric Handel’s Zadok the Priest.

The complete anthem is about three minutes long, and has two short verses and the chorus. The chorus is in UEFA’s three official languages: English, French, and German. The climactic moment is set to the exclamations “Die Meister! Die Besten! Les grandes équipes! The champions!”
