Anti-government protests in Beirut continue

Lebanese students carry the national flag as they march during ongoing anti-government protests in Beirut, Lebanon, on Wednesday 06 November 2019.

Students lead nationwide protests and took to the streets, demanding a better future and refusing to attend classes.

Protesters demand the president make parliamentary consultations immediately to facilitate the formation of a new government that replaces the recently resigned cabinet. They also demand the formation of a technocratic government with no political affiliation. Saad Hariri resigned as Prime Minister on 29 October, bringing down the entire cabinet.
