There was a brief emergency at Malta International Airport (MIA) that was quickly brought under control by MIA emergency services.
Shortly after an Emirates Boeing 777 Flight EK 109 landed from Dubai/Larnaca, smoke was seen coming out of the rear doors of aircraft. There were no passengers on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.
The situation was quickly brought under control and initial reports indicate that there was a malfunction with the auxiliary power unit.
