The European Commission has announced an investment exceeding €100 million to support a number of projects under the LIFE programem for the Environment and Climate Action. The funding will support ten large-scale climate projects, supporting Europe’s transition to a sustainable economy. The Commission believes that such projects will improve the EU’s efforts to become the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050, by conserving ecosystems, improve air and water quality, boost sustainable finance and increase climate resilience in Europe. Since its establishment in 1992, LIFE has supported over 5,400 projects. –
