Dr Marceline Naudi, Head, Department of Gender Studies at the Faculty for Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta was elected as president of the Group of experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO), within the Council of Europe.
The GREVIO is currently holding its 18th meeting, in Strasbourg. During this meeting GREVIO will welcome its four new members and among other issues, it will discuss the preliminary draft reports on Italy, Serbia and the Netherlands.
The members elected :
• Ms Marceline Naudi as President
• Ms Iris Luarasi as First Vice-President
• Ms Simona Lanzoni, as second Vice-President
Their mandate will last for 2 years.
