Former Chief justice Giuseppe Mifsud Bonnici has passed away, aged 89.
Known as ‘Gogo’, Judge Mifsud Bonnici was born in Cospicua, Judge Mifsud Bonnici was appointed judge in 1988 and chief justice in 1990.
Mifsud Bonnici served as Judge of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, between 1992 and 1998.
