Gang selling counterfeit Juventus tickets dismantled by Italian police

A scam to the detriment of Juventus fans has been discovered by the Italian police of the Provincial Command of Turin.

Nine touts of Neapolitan origin who sold fake tickets outside the stadium were targeted by the police with accusations of fraud and use of public counterfeit seals.

On the occasion of the Juventus championship and Champions League matches, the group lured fans through a free classifieds website, while the exchange of money and fake tickets took place at the station and outside the Allianz Stadium.

When the fans arrived at the turnstiles to watch the game, they found that the tickets were actually fake.

The investigations  lasted four months during which 24 counterfeit tickets were sold, worth about 4 thousand euros, and 32 counterfeit tickets seized by the police ready to be put on the market.
