A man drowned and was picked up from the sea in Pretty Bay, Birzebbuga, at around 6:15am.
The man is a 32-year-old Indian who lives in Zabbar and fell into the sea. Fishermen who were nearby and saw the incident took him ashore and gave him first aid.
