Company linked to Keith Schembri got €400,000 from Konrad Mizzi’s Ministryreport

A company backed silently by Keith Schembri received €400,000 in government contracts from Konrad Mizzi’s health ministry, heightening concerns of potential corruption. According to The Times of Malta, public funds flowed to this company a mere three weeks after the establishment of Impaqt Limited in May 2014. One year later, Impaqt made payments totaling €193,000 to two companies owned by Schembri, triggering suspicions of illicit kickbacks in exchange for the awarded government contracts. Schembri, currently facing criminal charges related to bribery and money laundering, wielded significant influence as the chief of staff to then-prime minister Joseph Muscat during this period.
