Morning Headlines – Tuesday – The Malta Independent

The Malta Independent follows a sitting in parliament in which Opposition Leader Adrian Delia filed for a motion to discuss the resignation of Minister Konrad Mizzi and Chief of Staff Keith Schembri. The House Speaker said there was agreement between the two sides and accepted the motion.

The Malta Independent also reports that the board of the Malta Council for Science and Technology has still not been reconstituted, 18 months after the election. The selection of the board members has since passed from the Ministry of Education to the Office of the Prime Minister. Only the chairman, Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, had not resigned.
