North of Italy reported to have reached the peak, but South is still at risk

The head of civil protection Angelo Borrelli   said that with more than 105,000 infected, over 77,000 Italians still positive and almost 12, 500, Italy has reached the peak of the infection for the coronavirus. But in an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Borrelli insisted that this is not the summit of infections but rather a ‘plateau’, a mountain plateau that must be crossed before you can begin to glimpse the descent.

The situation in the northern territories remains the most dramatic, but the south is still at risk, and nobody can and must think that they can drop their guard Borrelli added. The head of civil pointed  out that it is not known when the coronavirus emergency will be over, but it is certain that without the measures put in place, now many more deaths would have occured.
